These 4 Tricks Will Easily Help You Get A Job
It’s already 2019 and we as Pakistanis are living in a
World that is now digital and has a lot of Career growth opportunities but we
tend to rely on the old means to get a Job.
All the job application process is now digital and now
you don’t have to physically visit a company to drop your CV which you can just
do Online now. The means have become easy and a candidate living in Lyari can
easily apply for a Job in Karachi, Islamabad or even Dubai.
If you are still not getting a Job in the whole world, there
must be something that is not in your CV that is required. Now to explain which
part is missing, I am not going to offer a $500 membership and Mantra to
success, I’ll just give you some vital information that can help.
Mismatch
of Information provided with the Job Description
Take an example for instance, let’s say a company
requires a candidate that is Confident, good with Data Handling and is good at
maintaining relationships. Like most of other candidates you have written all
three in your CV so does it help get you a Job ? No, absolutely Not. A company cannot
believe unless you can prove it or back by some data. Lets suppose you have
written “Participated in a Dramatic competition, Did Financial Analysis of some
XYZ company and “Hosted events at University”.
Now this proves all of what they are asking and you will
easily get hired. Different Job Descriptions require different ways to prove
what you really are. So, in order to get a Job, First of all you need to narrow
the fields you want to get in. And then you edit some information in your CV
for each company you are applying. A CV for a job in Marketing will be entirely
different form a Job in Finance but similar to a Job in Media.
The second part is the level of skillset you have.
Consider yourself as a recruiter and ask yourself, would you hire yourself? Just
looking at the degree, why would a company hire when everyone is a BBA or a BSC
with same types of internship.
Internships
If you mention “Internships” in your CV’s then also write
what you have achieved in those internships rather what you were asked to do.
Cover
Letter
One thing that most of the candidates fail to do is to
write the Cover Letter. It is the most important thing which most candidates
leave blank and they shouldn’t. Write a
cover letter covering all these three aspect
Why you want to be hired? Who are you yourself? What
benefit you can provide to the company.
Proper
Grammar
A single spelling mistake can ruin your chances of
getting hired. Now believe me 99% of the CVs have spelling mistakes. Your document might not show any spelling
mistake because the Word Processing Tool might auto-correct some word and it
can turn out to be a mistake. So proofread three times. One time from yourself,
A second time from your friend and a third time from your Instructor or anyone
else.
