How to Vote for 2018 elections in Pakistan ? Which Party to vote ???
Everyone is excited for 2018 Elections in Pakistan. Out of
several parties contesting for election, three of them are the potential
parties who will be forming a government. And as we all know those three
parties are ; Pakistan Muslim League-Noon (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI)
and Pakistan People Party (PPP) and the rest of them will be allies with them
if they get enough votes.
This time you will have to choose rationally instead of losing
what you might earn. Some common stereotyping of parties is that all of them
are financially and morally corrupt. They are the ones responsible for looting
the money of Pakistani people. But what you need to understand is maybe they
are corrupt and are not good to be voted and if it is then these parties will
take advantage and those who are party members will only vote and instead of
getting something you will end up getting nothing.
Ten years of democracy have passed and altogether we have
seen the performance of PPP and PML-N and somehow we have also seen what PTI
did in the last five years in KPK. We must not be biased and should not favor
any party without facts and figures. The agendas of all these three parties
differ from each other.
PML-N focus on Infrastructure, Economic Development and
Growth ,PTI focus on Health and Education and PPP focus on Agriculture and Health.
Basically, in simpler words PML-N agenda is for the upper class, PTI agenda is
for the middle class and PPP agenda is for the lower class.
It should not be a matter of having prejudice with any party
but you need to see what do you really want from each government. Recently, PTI
is boasting a lot on “1 billion Trees” which is a really good thing as Pakistan
is facing environmental concerns a lot and Pakistan is the 7th most
vulnerable country to climate change so if you care about these type of things
you should go out and vote for PTI.
But if you are a farmer and you could not afford farming
then voting for PPP is the best option but if you care about infrastructure and
economic development then you should definitely vote for PML-N and this is what
you should be looking instead of the people who are getting into that party or
anything that they are corrupt or not.
Corruption and Na-ehli should not be a matter of concern if
you don’t want the province of Punjab to be broken down into three pieces. How
could you support PTI if you are from Punjab and you know Imran Khan will
divide Punjab so if you think this way you will never vote for PTI.
If you think that a Na-ehl person who is not Truthful and
Trustworthy then you should never vote for PML-N because here your priority is
nothing except you want your Prime Minister is Sadiq and Amin. Similarly,
Punjab, KPK and Balochistan did not see any massive development in PPP tenure
so if you care about development in your province like I do, you should vote
for the Party who cares about your province.
Lastly, You should keep your priorities straight about what
you will need from any political party but you should never disregard the power
of your vote.
